Waterproof Mascara Review

Hello friends!  Today’s blog post is going to have a bit of a different vibe because I’m going to be reviewing a new waterproof mascara!  For many, summertime means sweating and swimming, both of which can be disastrous for your makeup game, especially when it comes to mascara.

So, I decided to give this new waterproof mascara a try to see if it lives up to the hype.  After all, if I can look glamorous while running in 90 degree heat, why not try it?

Alright, first things first:  Packaging.  It comes in a thin box, not much bigger than the product itself, which I think is nice.  The mascara tube is shiny and sleek, and the wand removed very easily.

Next, I took a close-up look at the wand.  I noticed the mascara was not clumped up on the wand, which is great because that means it likely won’t clump on your eyelashes either.  And, the wand brush has a lot of bristles, which will help fan out your lashes very nicely.

After that, it was time to apply!  The mascara went on light and smooth.  I didn’t notice any clumping or that my lashes were sticking together in an unusual way.  After the first coat, I decided to apply a second coat for more volume, and again, it went on very smooth.

Lastly, I had to put it to the test.  So, I went for a 3.5 mile run in 90 degree heat with my running group.  Let me tell you, I was sweating like crazy!  But when I was finished, no raccoon eyes!  This mascara really worked very well.  And as a SUPER BONUS, it removed easily at the end of the day.  I used my makeup remover cloths, and it came off easily without tugging or tearing out any of my eyelashes.

With all of that being said, I definitely approve.  And, if you really want to take it up a notch on the volume scale (and I do because I love big eyelashes), apply your regular mascara first, then simply apply a coat of the waterproof mascara on top!  Ta-da!
