Tips for Exfoliating Your Lips

The first thing to decide when choosing a lip scrub is if you also want it to hydrate your lips.  The cold winter air has less humidity, so it can be very drying to your skin, especially your lips.  This can cause flaking, and even cracking and bleeding.  And sometimes, this leaves you with chapped lips, which can be painful.  So, choosing a lip scrub with hydrating properties can be beneficial, and you get the best of both worlds – soft and smooth lips for an even more kissable pout!

Another benefit to using a lip scrub is that it will help your lip color product stay on longer and wear more evenly.  This is because you’ve scrubbed off dead skin cells, which leave new, healthier ones exposed.  Because your lips are much smoother now, that awesome lip color you just applied won’t be flaking off with any dead skin cells.  Winning!

And, sugar lip scrubs are very quick and easy to use (and they also taste great, though I don’t recommend eating them…haha)!  It shouldn’t take you more than about a minute, so it’s perfect to do during your morning routine.

  1. Apply scrub to lips
  2. Gently massage in circular motion
  3. Wipe lips clean with a damp cloth
  4. Use 2 – 3 times per week or as needed

BOOM!   That’s it!  Is this something you think you’d like to try?  If yes, let’s chat!
